Rigel, Messina

Rigel system, designed by Alfredo Farnè, was conceived for streets with a predominantly urban traffic. Its shape is characterized by a simple and linear bracket and the cast iron decoration that adorns the base.

RIGEL

The cast iron decoration is characterized by parallel and slanting grooves, similar to the lighting fixture ‘Light 24’, designed by Pietro Zulian (‘Gran Studio Villa Triste’), with high technological equipment, which is coordinated with the post.

MESSINA

Rigel has been installed in Messina, Sicily, to illuminate the harbour, in the boarding area dedicated to the crossing of the strait towards Reggio Calabria. After years of neglect, this area will be slowly refurbished, lighting is the first step of a wider and more strategic requalification plan.
