Longiano

Longiano is a ‘comune’ (municipality) in the Province of Forlì-Cesena in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna. Its medieval castle at the centre of the village once belonged to the Malatesta family. The old village, considered one of the most beautiful in Italy, hosts part of the Fondazione Neri – Museo Italiano della Ghisa collection, while down in the valley there is the Neri factory and headquarters.

PIAZZA 11 OTTOBRE 1944

Piazza 11 ottobre 1944 has an underground and a ground level parking space. It is a contemporary space close to the city centre, whose task is to “free” the village from the presence of cars. The lighting was done by Neri following the request of the architects, who asked for a simple object with 4 lights. The lighting fixture that has been chosen is ‘Light 37’.

THE STREETS

The roads that lead to the car park have been illuminated using lower posts with two arms, mounting ‘Light 37’.
