Chelsea Barracks, in London, is a vast area originally occupied by military barracks. These remained operative from their construction in 1860 until 2007, when Qatari Diar, a company controlled by the Qatar Investment Authority, acquired it to create an ambitious luxury residential project in the British capital.
Chelsea Barracks is currently the largest development site in the SW1 zone and is the most sought-after quarter in London. Of its 12.8 acres, five were used to create new garden squares accessible to the public and interweaving with the urban fabric of the Belgravia area.
With lighting design project by Nulty+ and product design by Maynard, Neri SpA was entrusted with production of the aluminium lamp post with its modern, elegantly shaped luminaire.
