Original lanterns and posts have been restored and reproduced by Neri for Place Masséna in the heart of Nice. The intervention was part of a larger project signed by the master planner Bruno Fortier. His work has given back to the square its original function.
More than forty lamp posts made of steel and cast iron have been reproduced absolutely identical to the originals, but technologically much more advanced. A hundred brass lanterns lighting the porches have been restored as well as those very large with a circular shape situated in the south side of the square. In both cases optics and lamps have been upgraded to a more contemporary and efficient technology.
