We will take part in LIGHTFAIR® International (LFI®) 2018 in Chicago (IL), during which s new HPC (High Performance Concrete) collection called Brenta, designed by Italian firm EMO design, and a new post top luminaire, designed by Danish practice ÅF Lighting, will be presented.
Inspired by the unconventional use of concrete in the recent history of architecture, Brenta collection brings sophisticated indoor shapes to the world of outdoor lighting and furniture, complementing it with powerful optics, Wi-Fi antennas (as an accessory for XL illuminating bollard) and wireless charger (accessory for illuminated bench). Each element of the series is equipped with light.
Lang, the new post top luminaire, reflects the Scandinavian design principles of simplicity, balance and quality – with a twist: the potential to be highly customized.
The new luminaire is equipped with two separate optics and drivers giving designers absolute freedom in terms of geometries and dimming while neutralising the possible shades generated by brackets. Between the two optics stands what has been called ‘the blade’, a powerful tool able to change the appearance of the luminaire and tell stories through shades. The blade lends itself to endless possibilities ranging from component materials to intricate designs. From patterns to city crests, its potential awaits to be discovered and fully appreciated.
Among the new products there will be Chara, an LED suspended luminaire, featuring an optic surrounded by a transparent cylinder that gets illuminated – Chara can be mounted on bracket or on catenary – and Matar, an LED lighting system featuring posts of different heights angles and shapes characterized by steel cables and an ultra-thin luminaire and
