Studio 2P Architecture from Lucca required, for their project in Gambettola, a contemporary looking 6.50 m high lighting system to suit an environment mainly characterised by two-storey buildings from the previous century.
The Syrma post, with its aluminium ellipsoidal section and its simple and sleek design, has been chosen. For mechanical reasons the post needed to be 50 cm higher than the standard version and the lighting fixture Electra, featuring its specially designed LED source, has been preferred and adopted. Light Electra integrated LED multilayer system streams up to 12000lm with high efficiency about 100 lm/W; it is equipped with two different optics to choose from. Electrical safety is achieved thanks to the automatic disconnector device, an IP66 protection degree, an IK10 impact resistance. The lighting post has also been equipped with loudspeakers required by the numerous events regularly held in the town center.
The integration between lighting and street furniture is the peculiarity of the project. The urban furniture series chosen because corresponding in terms of look and design to the Syrma system is Lilium. Bollards have been equipped with two different type of lighting: a strip of 60 LED arranged along the sides and a 18W fluorescent lamp reflector on the top. The same bollard has also been utilised as part of hurdles outlining the cafes outdoor spaces. Bus shelters and banner frames are made with the same aluminium ellipsoidal section of the lamp post. Bins, part of the Scilla series, have a rear compartment housing the electricals needed by the weekly market.
