ARREDO & CITTÀ magazine

The half-yearly magazine Arredo & Città was created in 1988 by the commitment in culture of Neri SpA; taken over by the "Associazione Museo Italiano della Ghisa", which was set up in 1991, it is now managed by the Neri Foundation. Initially, the themes addressed by the foundation were those linked to the MIG collection and to the different types of cast iron objects, to the history and work carried out by the main foundries, both Italian and foreign. Having very little coverage, these themes required extensive research which, in many cases, led to the acquisition of first-hand information.
After expanding its research to cultural, artistic, social and financial implications of a production that truly distinguished an era, the Foundation has tackled themes linked to the city and to its changes over time.
The magazines issued in the last years have effectively tackled different themes. A recurring theme is restoration. The Neri Foundation has carried out major recovery projects, returning to major cities part of their history. The Foundation documents the value of the objects by describing where and why they were produced and by studying their stylistic approach.
The magazine Arredo & Città is widely distributed in Italy but is also known abroad, being available in two languages (Italian- English).
Since 2013, it is only published in digital format.
